The Carson Family
Martin Tolley's Carson ancestors have been traced back to Benson in Oxfordshire, where John Carson died in about 1839. Attempts to find ancestors further back than this have so far been unsuccessful. The Carson name is almost non-existant in Oxfordshire and Berkshire (where John Carson's wife originated from). There are many Carsons in Ireland and in Scotland, and that may be where the family has its roots.
